January 2019 Parish Council Report

Report from Waddingham Parish Council Meeting held 2nd January 2019 in the Village Hall

8 Councillors, District Councillor Summers, County Councillor Strange attended.

Apologies were received from Cllr P Williams.

The Clerk reported that a letter had been sent to Welton Aggregates asking their drivers to drive with consideration to the speed limit and road conditions.  Highways are also currently investigating speeding issues in the village and an Archer Test has been undertaken.

A water leak on Church Road has been reported by the clerk, members of the council, members of the public and Cllr Strange.  Anglian Water has confirmed that the water is not chlorinated and therefore they are not able to solve the problem.  Cllr Strange to pursue the issue with highways.  

A number of planning applications were discussed including a new application for the Land to the rear of the Marquis of Granby which the council resolved to object to.

It was reported that the flood defences and beck are currently running well but that an area of land slippage needs monitoring.

Cllr Thacker has reported to Lincs CC that footpath 75 has been ploughed up. Cllr Strange agreed to follow the issue up.

The council resolved to accept a quoted for the amenity grass cutting from MKS Groundcare.  The contract will run for 3 years.  Lincolnshire Tree Services will also undertake a tree survey of the trees on land the parish council is responsible for.

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday 6th March 2019 at 7pm in the Village Hall.  All welcome to attend.
