A member of the public reported that heavy agricultural machines and mud from the machinery are causing significant damage on Church Road to the footpath and road surface. Reports that the village green has been damaged have also been received.  One of the farmers has contacted the Parish Council and left his contact details.  He stated that the damage to the green will be made good once the weather improves.  The Parish Council will write to the farming company regarding the issues.  It was suggested that the machinery should use a different access point to the fields.

A member of the public suggested that safety/protection signs should be placed along the flood relief channel as during the recent high-water people were gathering at the culvert on Redbourne Road where the water was travelling quickly and at force. It was also reported that an area down Clay Lane needs ‘grassing out’ Letters to be sent to Day Farming Company and Waite and Sons thanking them for their help during the recent period of heavy rain.  The flood relief channel had worked well during the heavy rain.  The Environment Agency and WLDC have now been invited to evaluate the defences.

A member of the public requested clarification from the Parish Council as to what the Scouts need to do to obtain grant funding.  It was advised that the Scouts should write a personalised letter to the Council following the initial generic letter which was received.
